100% renewable energy on campus
ASU is working to switch to 100% renewable energy, but with that goal, many challenges have arisen. There is not enough space for solar panels to provide energy for a campus as large as ASU. The corporation commission has also limited our ability to sell back energy over the summer when ASU over produces. Perhaps Arizona state could partner with local businesses to use additional space on rooftops to provide sustainable energy to those local businesses but also provide energy for campus. ASU would no longer over produce energy during the summer and would have space to transition to 100% renewable energy.
funny how all the lil obstacles seem to crop up when u suggest
any thing renewable----why the hell wouldn't a power co in az want to buy cheap renewable energy during it's peak load times--summer----sounds like someones income needs protecting from competition i.e. power co stock holders---darn you get rich only to have competition rear it's ugly head. sincerly rik
