End the Cuban Embargo Already...

Ok I get it. I understand the need to emplace embargos on rogue nations who threaten the stability of world peace and world economics, but now that Castro is no longer running Cuba, and the Cold war has been over for some two decades, isn’t it time we reviewed the antiquated Cuban embargo? I’m not endorsing the communist regime or it’s questionable human rights policies (executing defectors who are returned from the United States), but after all, if communist China is now our largest trade partner, isn’t it a tad bit hypocritical for us to turn a cold shoulder to the Cubans for something that happened nearly fifty years ago (Cuban Missile Crisis)? Fifty thousand American GIs died fighting the Chinese in Korea, and now we do billions of dollars in trade annually with them. It’s time to rebuild our relationship with Cuba. Also, I think that the millions and possibly billions of dollars that could be generated in trade for people in both countries far outweigh any downsides.
