Vision

The vision of the Finkle Initiative is to make Tempe the model city for integrating veterans into the civilian population.

Mission

The mission of the Finkle Initiative is to connect and unite Tempe veterans and their families with Tempe’s civilian population.

Goal

The goal of the Finkle Initiative is train local veterans to speak publically about their military service with local organizations in order to create an atmosphere of success in Tempe. Veterans can build confidence and develop important social skills by speaking to high schools, university student organizations and political groups; and civilians can familiarize themselves with the unique make up of the veteran population in a comfortable setting.

Objective

The objective of the Finkle Initiative is to foster a strong and positive relationship among the veteran community and the city of Tempe that allows veterans an opportunity to positively reinforce the value of their past
