Learn about other languages and cultures

In an increasingly interconnected and (post)globalized world, it is of utmost importance to learn other languages and about the cultures behind those languages. To learn about the Practices, Products, and Perspectives [The 3 P's according to ACTFL] of our fellow global citizens and to familiarize ourselves with Cultures, Communication, Comparisons, Connections, and Communities [The ACTFL 5 C's] should also be a guiding principle of our New American University and all educational institutions of the world. If we think about it, this idea relates not only to education but also economy, business, communities, and human rights among others. As we say in Spanish, "sí se puede."
