The National Service Year
Jeff Howe, author of "Crowdsourcing: Why the Power of the Crowd Is Driving the Future of Business", offers his solution of requiring all 18-year-olds to participate in a year of National Service. Jeff is a professor of journalism at Northeastern University and the founder of The Atlantic's 1book140, a Twitter-based book club, Jeff has also been credited for coining the word "crowdsourcing" in a June 2006 Wired magazine article "The Rise of Crowdsourcing".
