reNature, Inc. - A new sustainable model, closing the nutrient loop.
reNature industrializes the natural processes of decomposition to provide sustainable alternatives to land filling food waste while simultaneously creating alternatives to petrochemical based agricultural products. The natural process of decay is quite simply the means by which planet Earth, left to its own devices, renews and restores itself every second of every day. It is reNature’s intent to utilize man made technology in synchronized step with these natural forces rather than in opposition to them. It is reNature’s core belief that the planet already knows what it is doing; it is simply for humanity to innovatively cooperate rather than impose. Sustainability is in the nature of our planet; it is in ours as well. By working with waste producers, farmers and local stakeholders, reNature intends to implement a more sustainable waste processing system that creates more resilient communities by closing the nutrient loop.
I am really not too familiar with this subject but I do like to visit blogs for layout ideas. You really expanded upon a subject that I usually don’t care much about and made it very exciting. This is a unique blog that I will take note of. I already bookmarked it for future reference.Thank you

reNature focuses on maximum efficiency of waste disposal, rather than trying to bend nature to inefficiently produce methane or land and labor intensive solid compost. reNature’s technology offers a cost effective means of creating a world in which the best of both is not merely possible but also practical. - Mercy Ministries
Hi David! My name is Meghana and I am part of Ignite@ASU. If you don’t know who we are, I highly encourage you check out our website igniteasu.com. We are looking for students, staff, and community members who have creative ideas to come speak at Ignite@ASU. We want you to be able to connect with the community and spread your great ideas with people all throughout ASU!
Ignite @ ASU is a public event on April 4th, 2012 in downtown Phoenix for great thinkers and doers to gather, share ideas, connect with others and create change. It features rapid-fire 5 minute presentations that bring ASU students, faculty, staff and community members together to build more connected, vibrant communities.
Our theme this semester is "The Evolution of Community." This topic was chosen so that it can encompass a wide range of topics, from architecture to social media. As we are pushing sustainable transportation and farming this semester, I think that your topic would fit perfectly.
To apply and learn more, visit igniteasu.com or contact me at myanaman@asu.edu. Submissions due on March 1st by 11:59 pm.
Application takes less than 10 minutes.
Meghana,
I looked into Ignite@ASU, very cool! I especially like the focus on sustainable solutions this semester - rethinking the potential synergies between farming, transportation, and waste disposal practices can enable us to reduce several concerning impacts on the environment and better support our local economy. At the core, I believe sustainability (around Phoenix especially) is about creating more resilient communities; still engaged in the global community, but less vulnerable to unforeseeable disrupitions in global supply chains. And less dependent on the fluctuating costs of system inputs - like oil...
I'll be sure to submit before the March 1st deadline. Thanks for sharing the information!
Hey reNature Inc! It's a great idea you've guys started and I would love to help. This Wednesday Changemaker Central will be hosting a Solutions Showcase on Sustainability and would like to invite you to attend and present your solution. Solutions showcase is event to present, support, build and discuss solutions like yours. This months will be held this Wednesday in Changemaker Central Tempe at 6:30pm.
Thanks, Emilio! I'll be sure to attend Changemaker Central's Solution Showcase at 6:30pm tomorrow evening. I know the reNature team would appreciate the feedback! The support reNature has received is encouraging, but it needs the collaborative feedback to continue improving the idea - waste disposal has traditionally been a difficult topic to get the community enthused about; discussing new waste processing models, like reNature's, might help craft a new model that enhances community values, while still making some business sense.. Thanks again for the invite!
