Substantial Sound

Education Solution by Morgan W on February 15, 2012 at 7:40 PM

The music industry along with music entrepreneurs have been prosperous for quite awhile. With the availability of portable music causing the popularity to rise even higher, many job openings surface, ripe for the taking. However, an abundance of people who wish to be lucky enough to fill that position lack the skills necessary that come from experience along with connections. Arizona State University, like many other schools, does not offer the experience that comes with working in a studio alongside a renowned professional who can act as a mentor and as a way to gain connections. My solution is to create a studio that not only benefits those who are lucky to get a job in an actual recording studio, but to fill it with professionals who can mentor those with a passion for creating music, be it in the editing process or in front of the microphone. If this works on a small scale, I can already imagine the astounding network this would create on a national, if not global level.
