The U. S., Mexico Educational Initiative to Create Affluence
I propose a debt forgiveness plan for Mexican Nationals attending U. S. Universities that will benefit both countries and eventually outate the problem of immigration by creating affluence in the resource rich country of Mexico.
The U.S., Mexico Educational Initiative is modeled after Teach for America, wherein sincere students can 'repay' thier tuition by serving 4 years in thier country of origin, in jobs that will change the sytem, such as the infrastructure, politics, and educational systems of Mexico.
Students majoring in engineering, education, social welfare, political science can save the U.S. billions of dollars in the long run by working to restructure a country that is inherently rich in resources such as ocean fishing and geographically scenic ocean properties, tourism, agriculture, architecture, and culture, thereby creating a wealthy and corruption free neighbor whos citizens have no desire to migrate from.
The U.S. Mexico Educational Inititive is a win/win solution.
This model could be a pilot program that we could use in places such as Somalia, Cambodia or Ecuador. Instead of just giving aid money we could develop citizens through education. They could then use the information and ideas learned as they see fits into thier culture and community. This would simultaneously support our universities. I like this idea for developing nations, develop the people and let lead thier countries devlopment. Im the authour of this proposal, but it just has so much potential I had to add this!
