I am currently teaching a class and part of the curriculum involves this subject matter. Do you have any other posts I can look at regarding this?

As much as I respect your organization's efforts to increase voter turnout, changing the day the polls are open isn't effective. Phoenix already offers multiple voting days, including Saturday. I voted on Saturday a week and a half ago for the Mayoral run-off election. Although voter participation increased, data indicate that the increase wasn't at the polls themselves but via mailed in ballots (90% of the total ballots were submitted by mail). In a country that values the almighty dollar above nearly everything else, it is time to attach a monetary value to voting.
